Labor & Employment Law

The attorneys at The Green Law Group handle a wide variety of employment matters that include compliance counseling, misclassification claims, wage and hour disputes, sexual harassment claims, discrimination and retaliation claims, wrongful terminations, work place investigations, employee benefit disputes, and employment contract disputes.

Our employment practice includes transactional and litigation matters on behalf of both employers and employees in individual and collective actions. The firm’s representation of both employers and employees provides a unique blend of knowledge and experience that allows us to anticipate our opponents’ strategies and respond effectively.

Annual HR Audits

One of the best ways to avoid expensive legal entanglements is to stay current with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and best practices in your employment matters.  Small businesses don’t have the resources to stay current, so they turn to us to keep them up to date.

On an annual basis, our attorneys will conduct a complete assessment of your HR policies, practices and procedures.  They will identify anything that is no longer consistent with the law and identify ways to improve what you do as an employer.

Employee Manuals

It is important for organizations large and small to maintain a current employee manual.  An employee manual is a document you present to every new hire and keep current for all employees.  It contains basic information about your company such as your vision and mission statements, employee rights such as equal employment opportunities and ADA laws, important information about the employee-employer relationship such as a definition of at-will employment, timekeeping policies, overtime policies, and policies on paid time off.

Our attorneys will review, revise and update your existing employee manual or create a complete new manual if needed.  Once in place, we will review and revise your employee manual as part of our annual HR audits.
