Jim Thompson was admitted to practice law in California in 1992. Mr. Thompson began his practice in construction defect defense, principally of engineers and subcontractors. His practice now includes general civil litigation, business law, real estate and real property disputes and personal injury. Mr. Thompson has jury trial experience in several counties and has tried to judgment cases in Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange County. He's admitted to practice in California and before the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and is a member of the Ventura County and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. Mr. Thompson received his Juris Doctorate from The Ventura School of Law in 1992.
In addition to his skills in the courtroom Mr. Thompson is also an award winning artist. For 25 years he was the Editorial Sports Cartoonist for the Los Angeles Daily News. His cartoons have been collected by sports figures and celebrities including Ted Turner, Peter Ueberroth, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Clippers.
